Is the acoustic riff that goes pretty much throughout the verses? not sure about the end of the riff, just trying to figure it out.

The song is performed in the key of E Flat. Using a capo does nothing to enhance the sound of this progression on guitar. Best way to perform this is to tune down 1/2 step and transpose to key of E. This allows you to take advantage of the ringing open strings and will sound much more full.
