Hey guys, this is my first post to this website! I decided to upload the brand new song "Do it for him/her"
from Steven Universe by Rebecca Sugar. I enjoyed working out this song, and it's probably one of my
favourite songs from the show yet. Please ignore any errors, keep in mind that I'm very new to this site and
enjoy!

NOTE: I tested these chords on Ukulele. I assume they work as well with Piano and Guitar as well. With

Ukulele and Guitar, just use any old strumming pattern, I found they all worked quite well.

NOTE 2: You can use B7 instead of B in this song. I find B7 easier especially when you have to switch between
Em and B7. They sound just as good as each other.

[Intro]

                        Dm G C C7
You’d do it for him, and you would do it again.
                        Dm G C
You’d do it for her, that is to say, you’ll do it for him.

[Verse 1]

Am Em Am Em
Keep your stance wide. Keep your body lowered.
F G C B
As you’re moving forward balance is the key.
Em B Em B
Right foot, Left Foot. Now go even faster.
Em G C
And as you’re moving backwards keep your eyes on me.
Am
Keep my stance wide. Keep my body lowered.
F G C B
As I’m moving forward… Concentrate! Don’t you want him to live?
Em B Em B
Right foot, left foot… Yes, but put your whole body into it!

[Chorus 1]

Em G C B
Everything you have, everything you are you’ve got to give,
              E7 Am
On the battlefield, where everything is chaos,
                                    E7 Am
And you have nothing but the way you feel, your strategy and your sword.
                                G C
You just think about the life you’ll have together after the war,
                                    Dm G Em
And you would do it for her, that’s how you know you can win.
                       Dm G C
You’d do it for her, that is to say, you’ll do it for him.

[Verse 2]

Am Em Am Em
Deep down – you know. You weren’t built for fighting.
F G C B
But that doesn’t mean you’re not prepared to try.
Em B Em B
What they don’t know, is your real advantage.
Em G C
When you live for someone you’re prepared to die.
Am Em Am Em
Deep down, I know. That I'm just a human.
F G C B
But I know that I can draw my sword and fight!

[Chorus 2]

Em B Em B
With my short existence, I can make a difference.
Em G C
I can be there for him! I can be his knight!
Dm G Em
I can do it for him!
                 Dm G Em
You’ll do it for her. Okay now do that again!
                Dm G C
You’d do it for her, and now you say: I’ll do it for him.

okay @juniaIris take a chill pill this is their first post, formatting is hard and if you worked it out you would know that you can just switch from Am to F in the middle of the line and continue on like a real human being slfnfsdkjf

@thecramp, OP: thanks for the chords keep on being cool B)

No problem, guys! Glad you like it (well some of you lol) and to Junia, like i said, this is my first song, so it will be sorta inaccurate. sorry about that. I just couldn't think of anything to switch to on this line, since switching from the piano melody to uke chords is quite challenging. Thanks for leaving your opinion anyway, though!
