(J. Marks)

intro:
G Em C D

G D
Rocking around the Christmas tree at the Christmas party hop
D G
Mistletoe hung where you can see every couple tries to stop
G D
Rocking around the Christmas tree, let the Christmas spirit ring
D G
Later we'll have some pumpkin pie and we'll do some caroling

C Bm
You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear
Em A D
Voices singing let's be jolly, deck the halls with boughs of holly
G D
Rocking around the Christmas tree, have a happy holiday
D G
Everyone dancing merrily in the new old-fashioned way

The other tab under brenda lee is a lot more accurate, this a more basic version!

I play this in A but I transposed this for you in G of how I have always played it. Try the G on the 3rd fret, then lay your pinky down on 2nd strg 5th fret for the G6. This is just a suggestion to help u out, you dont have to use it if u dont want to.

G G6 G G6 D
Rocking around the Christmas tree at the Christmas party hop
D D7 D D7 D D7 G
Mistletoe hung where you can see every couple tries to stop
G G6 G G6 D D7

D D7 D D7 D D7 G

I like this version, (the original posted). I am using a down-up-up-down strumm, and it sounds very nice on my mandoline. Thanks.
