          G Em
There are worse things I could do,
        Am F#m7b5 B7-9 , B7
Than go with a boy or two.
                        Em A7
Even though the neighborhood thinks I'm trashy,
       Dmaj7
And no good,
     Bm E7
I suppose it could be true,
              A D
But there are worse things I could do.

                           Em Em/D Cmaj7
I could flirt with all the guys,
                         F#m7b5 B7
Smile at them and bat my eyes.
                           Em
Press against them when we dance,
          A Dmaj7
Make them think they stand a chance,
       Bm E9
Then refuse to see it through.
         A D
That's a thing I'd never do.

         Dm Gm C
I could stay home every night,
                    Fmaj7 A#
Wait around for Mr. Right.
                        Gm
Take cold showers every day,
                   A
And throw my life away,
     A/C# D D/F#
On a dream that won't come true.

                          Em Em/D Cmaj7
I could hurt someone like me,
                       F#m7b5 B7
Out of spite or jealousy.
                         Emaj7
I dont steal and I don't lie,
          C#m F#m7b5
But I can feel and I can cry.
            B7 Em Em/D Cmaj7
A fact I'll bet you never knew.
                       F#m7b5 D7
But to cry in front of you,
                               G C Cm7 Gmaj7
That's the worse thing I could do.

Very nice work! Agreed that this doesn't suck! Especially since the "Grease is Still the Word" songbook I bought has this in the wrong key.

A couple of super minor suggestions:

For the intro chord, try a D13 (x54557) instead of the D9.

And for the outro, I like a G6/9 (x 10 9 9 10 10).

And I think pretty much every chord should get its 7th in this song. Here's a version that adds the 7ths and a few of the other chords from the songbook:

D13 (x54557)

Gmaj7 Em7 C
There are worse things I could do,
F#m7b5 B7
Than go with a boy or two.
Em7 A7
Even though the neighborhood thinks I'm trashy,
Dmaj7
And no good,
Bm7 E7
I suppose it could be true,
A7 D
But there are worse things I could do.

Em Em7 Cmaj7
I could flirt with all the guys,
F#m7b5 B7
Smile at them and bat my eyes.
Em7
Press against them when we dance,
A7 Dmaj7
Make them think they stand a chance,
Bm7 E7
Then refuse to see it through.
A7 D
That's a thing I'd never do.

Dm Gm7 Gm7/F C7
I could stay home every night,
Fmaj7 A#maj7
Wait around for Mr. Right.
Gm
Take cold showers every day,
A7
And throw my life away,
A/C# D7sus D7
On a dream that won't come true.

Em Em7 Cmaj7
I could hurt someone like me,
F#m7b5 B7
Out of spite or jealousy.
Emaj7
