About this tab version
This is a version I learned at summer camp, so I don't know if it is by anyone in particular or just a variation off the original. I have only played it on ukulele so I don't know how it sounds on guitar, but I assume it will sound good. No capo needed, standard tuning (low G, C, E, A). Use a capo if you need to change the key for singing. Whatever strumming pattern you prefer. Was this info helpful? Yes No

[Chorus]

             F C
This land is your land, this land is my land
         G7 C C7
From California to the New York Island
                 F C
From the Redwood Forest to the Gulf Stream waters
G7 C
This land was made for you and me.

[Verse 1]

          F C
As I went walking that ribbon of highway
       G7 C C7
I saw above me that endless skyway
        F C
I saw below me that Golden Valley
G7 C
This land was made for you and me.

[Verse 2]

               F C
I roamed and I rambled and I followed my footsteps
                 G7 C C7
To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts
           F C
While all around me a voice was sounding
G7 C
This land was made for you and me.

[Verse 3]

          F C
As I went walking I saw a sign there
           G7 C C7
and on the sign it said "No Trespassing."
           F C
But on the other side it didn't say nothing,
G7 C
That side was made for you and me.

[Verse 4]

                  F C
When the sun came shining, and I was strolling
                    G7 C C7
and the wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling
            F C
A voice was chanting, As the fog was lifting,
G7 C
This land was made for you and me.

[Verse 5]

                      F C
In the squares of the city, In the shadow of a steeple;
              G7 C C7
By the relief office, I saw my people.
                    F C
As they stood there hungry, I stood there asking,
G7 C
Is this land made for you and me?

[Verse 6]

       F C
Nobody living can ever stop me,
        G7 C C7
As I go walking that freedom highway;
       F C
Nobody living can make me turn back
G7 C
This land was made for you and me.

[Chorus]

             F C
This land is your land, this land is my land
         G7 C C7
From California to the New York Island
                 F C
From the Redwood Forest to the Gulf Stream waters
G7 C
This land was made for you and me.
