Really enjoyed there audition on X Factor USA so wanted to learn
the music because I noticed it was different from the original by Britney Spears.
Also Melanie Martinez did a version on the voice that im sure inspired Alex and Sierra
but Melanie played it like the Britney Spears tab are showing.
to me it seems like its a half step down from the original, with a couple small differences.
im only going to list the chords because im writing this on my phone. Anyways...

Capo on 2nd fret, remember all chords are acting with capo as the nut

[Verse]

Am E
you can do the walking bass line by using your pinky
to fret the 3rd fret of the 6th string then play that twice then the open fifth string

the chorus:

Am Am7/G D7add9/F# Fmaj7 E

-0- -0- -0- -1- -0-
-1- -1- -1- -1- -0-
-2- -0- -2- -2- -1-
-2- -2- -0- -2- -2-
-0- -0- -0- -3- -2-
-0- -3- -2- -1- -0-

you can go to the

Am7/G

by moving your 3rd string 2nd fret finger to 6th string 3rd fret

and then the

D7add9/F#

by moving the finger fretting
the 4th string 2nd fret in the Am chord to the 6th string 2nd fret
and the 6th string 3rd fret to the 3rd string 2nd fret

thats about it really, occasionally you do a walk into the E from an F during the chorus

hopefully this helped a couple of people, you can show appreciation by rating!

Thanks for the help! Very clear and articulate wording, I appreciate it!

I think during the chorus you do the Am, followed by an Am7/G (accomplished by moving your 3rd string 2nd fret finger to 6th string 3rd fret), then to your F#dim (which I would actually call a D7add9/F# due to the open 4th string adding a D to the chord), and then the walk down to Fmaj7 and then E:
Am Am7/G D7add9/F# Fmaj7 E

-0- -0- -0- -1- -0-
-1- -1- -1- -1- -0-
-2- -0- -2- -2- -1-
-2- -2- -0- -2- -2-
-0- -0- -0- -3- -2-
-0- -3- -2- -1- -0-

Thoughts? I think this fits but I'm not totally sure about the Fmaj7 chord.

It think the chorus is the same or very close to the "My Guitar Gently Weeps" chord progression.
