Hi :)
Well, this is one of my favourite songs by The Fallen Drakes
who aren't very well known at the moment, and I realized the
chords for this song weren't up so I worked them out myself!

I've seen in the acoustic music video they use a capo on 2
but I worked it outwithout a capo, and I think it's easier
like this.

I hope you enjoy it! :)

Intro:

A, D, A, D

           A
Mary never said where she came from
                             D
She kept me guessing for the answers that I craved
                     A
And I met her on the avenue of angels,
                          D
Where she asked me for my name

            A
She doesn't believe in the free world,
                D
She don't wanna answer to a man,
                     A
As we walk along the river in our own time,
            D
She held my hand

                 A
Did she run away before?
                 D
Did she run away before she got the world?
                 A
Did she run away before?
                 D
Did she run away before she got the world?

E F#m D
She took the last train, I never seen her go,
                          A
She thinks she outta time, and I gotta let her know,
E F#m D
I don't believe her, when she says she's fine

Chorus:
       E F#m D
'Cause I fell in love with a girl from New York,
       E F#m D
Oh I fell in love with a girl from New York

Interlude:

A, D, A, D

                      A
We sheltered from the snow in a cold church,
                              D
Just the stars and stripes to wrap around our bones
                         A
The cathedral doors were heavy as a lost heart,
                       D
And a closed as Mary's hope

E F#m D
She took the last train, I never seen her go,
                          A
She thinks she outta time, and I gotta let her know,
E F#m D
I don't believe her, when she says she's fine

Chorus:
       E F#m D
'Cause I fell in love with a girl from New York,
       E F#m D
Oh I fell in love with a girl from New York

x2

Interlude/Ending:

E, F#m, D, D x3

A, D

                A (one strum)
Mary closed her eyes for the last time,
                        D (one strum)
And I felt the strength inside her slip away

Enjoy! :)
