"Where I Stood"
Missy Higgins
(On A Clear Night) 2007

Re-corrected from version 2. Do people ever listen to the tabs they've created with the
original song? This is a tone higher than ver 2, and sounds much more correct with the
music. I havent really changed the positioning of the chords, just the main key, so
credit for this goes to previous authors. I think the Bm rather than the D sounds
better in the last line of the chorus, but use the D if you prefer...

[Verse 1]

Bm A E Bm A E
I don't know what I've done. Or if I like what I've begun
Bm A E
But something told me to run
           F#m E D A E
And honey you know me it's all or none //
Bm A E Bm A E
There were sounds in my head, little voices whispering
Bm A E
That i should go and this should end
      F#m E D A E
Oh and i found myself listening

[Chorus]

D F#m E
Cause i don't know who i am, who i am without you
D A E
All i know is that i should
D F#m E
And i don't know if i could stand another hand upon you
D A E
All i know is that i should
Bm A F#m E
Cause she will love you more then i could
Bm A E (hold) A
She who dares to stand where i stood

[Interlude]

(...A) F#m A Bm E

[Verse 2]

(E...) A E
See i thought love was black and white
             Bm A E
That it was wrong or it was right
Bm A E
But you aint' leaving without a fight
           F#m E D A E
And i think I am just as torn inside

[Chorus]

[Bridge]
      Bm D F#m E
And I wont be far from where you are if ever you should call
          Bm A Bm E
You meant more to me then anyone I've ever loved at all
          D F#m E
But you taught me how to trust myself, And so i say to you
         Bm E
this is what i have to do

[Chorus]

D A E F#m
She who dares to stand where i stood
D A E A
She who dares to stand where i stood

Sorry guys, the 'D' chord in the second last line of the chorus should be an E - forgot to change it up a tone like all the other chords!

This songs brilliant, well done man.

I swear if I don't cover this song (with a few word changes here and there of course) then I will not feel like I have done anything decent lately.

Thank you
