VERSE

G B#m
All over this town

                    G
Yes, a low wind may blow

                      A
And i can see through everybody’s clothes

        G
With no reason

                    A
To hide these words I feel

        G
And no reason

                  A
To talk about the books I read

            D
But still I do

CHORUS
F G D
That's 'cause i'm a ...

F G F
Sister i'm a ...

    G F D
All over this town

VERSE 2 SAME CHORDS AS 1ST
Along this way
Outside the prison gates
I love the romance of crime
And i wonder
Does anybody feel the way i do ?
And is evil just something you are
Or something you do ?

CHORUS 2
Sister i'm a ...
Sister i'm a ...
All over this town

VERSE 3
All over this town
They pull over
In their citroen vans
Not to shake your hand
With meths on their breaths
And you with youth on your side
A plastic bag stranded at the lights
This once was me ...

But now i'm a ...
Sister i'm a ...
All over this town ...
Oh, oh, oh
All over this town
All over this town
Oh ...

I can't speak for the recording but I know for a fact that Sister I'm A Poet live uses no capo.

Intro:
Gma7/A6/Gma7/E/E(alternate with pinky on F# note on hi E string)
GG~/AA/GG/E/E(alternate with pinky on F# note)
GG~/AA/GG/E/E(alternate with pinky on F# note)

The Gma7: The A6:
e-2-- --2----
B-3-- --2-----
G-4-- --2-----
D-5-- --2-----
A-0-- --0-----
E---- --------

Verse
AAA(5th fret)/BB(7th fret)/C#mC#mC#m(9th fret)/BB
AAA/C#mC#m/BBB

then pick out something like these notes (and repeat minus all the 5s
e---7-5---7-5-75---------------------
B------------------7-5--4-5-4-5555554
G-6-----6----6---6--6--4-4-4---------
D------------------------------------
A------------------------------------
E------------------------------------

then almost the same thing
e---7-5---7-5-75--------
B----------------7-5--4- these last
G-6-----6----6---6-6--4- three more slowly
D------------------------
A------------------------
E------------------------

Then to chorus, which is like the intro minus the opening three chords
E GG AA GG E (alternate w/ pinky on hi F# note)

Closing
G~/AA/GGG~/AA/GG/E

if you have a second guitarist, you can throw lots of fuzzy Vini Reilly style leads in around the E chord in the chorus
