song: The Conversation
artist: Motion City Soundtrack
album: Even If It Kills Me

Transcribed by David and Blaine Nov. 27, 2007

This is my first tab but I think it is spot on.

Relative to the Capo
Dsus2 (x,x,0,2,3,0)
Gm (3,5,5,3,3,3,)

Note: It sounds cool to pick the melody along with the chords on the top three strings.
sounds closer to the piano in the recording. Email(djchadde@mtu.edu) if you want help
this. I didn't feel like tabbing it all out. I might post in the future.

Also note the funky IV to iv change at the end.

Intro: Csus2

Csus2 F
Do you remember how we met?
Csus2 F
Silhouetted by the lights...
Csus2 F Am F
You were drunk and tried to take a mental picture with your hands
Csus2 F
I was thinking about that
Csus2 F
And a bunch of other things
Csus2 F
Stop looking at the floor...
          Am F F Am
I need to pour out this expansive dose of words.

  F F Am
I can't explain...

  F F Csus2
I need to be alone.

Csus2 F
I know the timing isn't great
Csus2 F
But these things, you just can't plan.
Csus2 F
I just need a little time
         Am F
So I can find myself again
Csus2 F
'Cause I get buried underneath
Csus2 F
All the things they think you are
Csus2 F Am
And I'm too tired to pretend it doesn't hurt
To be left out

Csus2 F
I had a pocket full of dreams
Csus2 F
But I gave them all to you
Csus2 F
Now I think I want them back
           Am F F Am
So can you tell me if I'm crazy or confused?

      F F Am
Don't ever change
    F F Am
The way you are
     F F Fm Csus2	(play the last F as a barre chord)
I've never loved anyone more.

F	Csus2

End on Dsus2
