[Verse]

D G D
If I had wings like Noah's dove
            Bm G2
I'd fly the river to the one that I love
D G D A D
Fare thee well, my honey, fare thee well

D G D
I had a man, who was long and tall
             Bm G2
He moved his body like a cannon ball
D G D A D
Fare thee well, my honey, fare thee well

D G D
I remember one evening in the pouring rain
          Bm G2
And in my heart there was an aching pain
D G D A D
Fare thee well, my honey, fare thee well

D G D
Muddy river runs muddy and wild
               Bm G2
You can't give a bloody for my unborn child
D G D A D
Fare thee well, my honey, fare thee well

D G D
Just as sure as the birds fly high above
                Bm G2
Life ain't worth living without the one you love
D G D A D
Fare thee well, my honey, fare thee well

Fare thee well, my honey, fare thee well

Is there a way to play this w/o re-tuning the guitar? :-/

Awesome tab, thanks!
One little thing though: In the second line of every verse, Marcus plays Bm - G2 and doesn't go back to D until the next line. So it would be

D G D
If I had wings like Noah's dove
Bm G2
I'd fly the river to the one that I love
D G D A D
Fare thee well, my honey, fare thee well

Thanks so much for the tab. I wanted to play this song for the longest time but could never get a good base line for it. Even though it's not exact, I prefer to just switch between the second and fourth every once and awhile. It connects the song together I find. As soon as the third verse kicks in I just mix strumming with picking until I go all out strumming loudly.
