Strumming
There is no strumming pattern for this song yet. and get +5 IQ
Ok so this is my first tab, but its 100% correct and none of the other tabs are.
I named the chord on every heavy strum (down beat) Mr. Drew gives in the original recording
and I also tabbed out the guitar and keyboard intro to the bridge.
So heregoesnothin!

C(4x)

    C C
And I sing songs about the past.
C C
How I was raised and I was thrown out on my ass,
              F F
Cause I didn't care.
               C C
About going to school.

    C C
And I saw the look in her eyes.
   C C F
My mother nearly cried when I told her that I had wanted to go,
                 C C
Just to prove them wrong.

          Am F
I've been smoking cigarettes since I was only fourteen,
        G Am F C(4x)
Just to find an escape from this town that was so mean to me.

    C C
And I sing songs about my friends.
    C C F F
The way we grew up, and all the lose ends we used to laugh,
                             C(2x)
Cause we didn't give a damn.

    C C
And I saw the look in my brother's eyes,
       C C F F
When I told him I was leaving he couldn't help but despise me.
                         C
He's wanted out his whole life.

          Am F
I've been smoking the green since I was merely sixteen,
          G Am F C(4x)
Just to find an escape from this town that was so mean to me.

    C C
And I sing songs about the past...

                                                        (F) Am
