C Csus4 C
       Dm C G/B C G/B Am
Unlucky seventeen, already handed plans for the future
G F G C Csus4 C
Glamour obsessed, told how to dress, and shown how to think
            Dm C G/B C G/B Am

So many days, wasted and glazed
            Am A5 F
Sometimes I laugh aloud as I think about,
   C D/F#
You asking me "Please can you help?"
           F
Can't help my self
G C G
I'm not your savior, I'm not who you want me to be

A cowardly mistake I've made so many times before, refusing to break
              Em F Fm

Do you remember when, life was so simple and permanent?
           F G Am
Everyone's changed, "Everyone's cool", Everyone sucks
    A5 F C D/F#
But I can't seem to complain, Exciting and new is just not there
                F
You're getting scared
G C G
I'm not your savior, never thought I was anyway
      F G
I'm a void with empty promises that backs out late
               C Em
Never said I'd change, taking back the words that we spoke
       F Fm
Like a fuel tank running dry, you'll believe it when I choke

Note: I'm playing in G along with the Swingin' Utters' cover from The Songs of Tony Sly: A Tribute, though I find the same when playing in C (untransposed).Maybe it's just me, but I think the E5 (as well as A5 in the untransposed version) sounds kind of lacking, at least on a standard tuned (GCEA) concert uke. I tried filling out the note by playing it on all 4 strings, 4402 (2400 untransposed), rather than 44xx (24xx untransposed) as suggested, but it still sounded lacking, so I tried playing Bm instead and I think it sounds better. I'm open to suggestions if anyone else knows a better sounding note.
