*NB* The A* chord can be substituted for the Am7 chord during the verse, but Noel
plays the A* chord, and to be honest, it sounds better. But if you want to just
get used to the song first couple of plays, I'd use the Am7 as its a little easier.

A = x02220
Am7 = x02010
A* = x05550
G = 320033
D = x00232
Dsus2 = x00230
Dsus4 = x00233
Fmaj7 = x33210
Gmaj7 = x55430
G6 = 320030
C = 332010
D7 = x00212
G/B = 020030

Intro:
A, A* (or Am7), G, D x2
Fmaj7, Gmaj7, A (2 bars), Am7, G6, A

A                       A*
You can’t fight the feeling,
G                        D
And all is the same, the pouring rain..

You know, you know.
A                          A*
It's coming out of the ceiling,
G
Falling from above,
         D
Falling in and out of love.
A                          A*
A broken heart is still beating,
G
In and out of time,
             D
Hold your body next to mine..

You know, you know.
A                           A*
But you can't stop the bleeding,
G                               D
Sing to yourself and hold on.
                Am7
Cause everybody's on the run (everybody's on the run)

(Chorus)
C                G
Hang in there love,
            D____D7
You gotta hold on.
C                G
Hang in there love,
                    D
You gotta hold on.
         Am7
Cause everybody's on the run (everybody's on the run)
         Am7
Cause everybody's on the run (everybody's on the run)

A                             A*
You've been drifting and stealing,
G
Trying to walk in my shoes,
          D
But they don't belong to you..

You know, you know, you know they don't.
A                    A*
But you can't find the meaning,
G                D
Sing to yourself and hold on.
Am7
Cause everybody's on the run (everybody's on the run)

(Chorus)
C             G
Hang in there love,
             D____D7
You gotta hold on.
C           G
Hang in there love,
             D____D7
You gotta hold on.
Am7
Cause everybody's on the run
C               G
Hang in there love,
              D____D7
You gotta hold on.
C               G
Hang in there love,
             D____D7
You gotta hold on.
Am7
Cause everybody's on the run (everybody's on the run)
Am7
Cause everybody's on the run (everybody's on the run)

Instrumental: Fmaj7, Gmaj7, Am7, G/B x4

Fmaj7       Gmaj7
Hang in there love,
              Am7
You gotta hold on.
             G/B
You gotta be strong enough for love

You know, you know. (x3)

Fmaj7          Gmaj7
Hang in there love,
              Am7
You gotta hold on.
Am7
Cause everybody's on the run (everybody's on the run)
Am7
Cause everybody's on the run (everybody's on the run)

Pretty good chords mate. :) My only suggestion, change that A to an Asus2 which would be: x02200.

Noel definitely plays it live using an Asus2, sounds better that way too. :)

Thanx a lot for the great work!

A few more of my 'wise guy' additions: :P

In the chorus after "You gotta hold on...", you can clearly hear a progression of notes being played. You can imitate them thus:

D D6 D7 D6 *F* G C
You gotta hold on

D xx0232
D6 xx0202
D7 xx0212
*F* xx02xx or xx02x5
G 320033
C 332010

The *F* has been marked so 'coz i'm not too sure what name it should be given. However, it has its root in the F chord and so that's the probable name, but i'm pretty sure the its wrong.

Try it out once. :)

i like to play in the d-chord of the chorus an alternation of xx0232 and xx0032.. think that sounds pretty good although im not sure if its the way noel plays it...
