D G G7 C

G G7 C
Like the desert waiting for the rain like
                                    G
a school kid waiting for the spring I'm
                  Em Am7

In my poor heart it's been so dark

My hot fire's awaiting for a new tube my

glass is waiting for some fresh ice cubes
G Em Am7
I'm just sitting here waiting for you to

GOOD VERSION! CAPO 3 TO BE IN TUNE WITH NORAH'S VERSION, OR CAPO 5 TO GO AN OCTAVE LOWER FOR MALE VOICES. ALSO, ONE CORD ADDITION IMPROVES THE SONG A LOT. ABOVE "DARK
ROOM" ON LINE 2 (AND SIMILAR PLACES IN EACH VERSE), ADD A D#7 (4TH STRING 2ND FRET/3RD STRING 3RD FRET/ 2ND STRING 2ND FRET/ AND 1ST STRING 3RD FRET). THIS REALLY NAILS THE TRANSITION. LOVE, KEVIE
