I found that the other tabs for this song were all bad, so I went and found them out
by listening to the song. This is my first solo tab, so if it's bad, my contact info is at
bottom.

Time Signature (Beats per measure): C (Common time) (4 beats per measure)
Tuning: Half step down.

F Am
Tim, wish you were born a girl,
                      A#
Wish you were born a girl,
   A Gm
So I could've been your boyfriend.
  C Dm A#
I know it's not possible now.
       F C A Gm
I just never met a girl I like half as much as you.
    F Am A#
And we could lay around in bed, stay there all day,
      A Gm
Or at least until the afternoon
    C Dm A#
And I could make you spaghetti with tomato sauce
     F C A Gm
With just a touch of oregano and a parsley stem.
    F Am A#
And then when you got sick, I could take the day off work.
A Gm C Dm
I could've made you chicken soup, And we could watch soap operas
            A# F C
- oh, those TV dramas! I could catch your cold
              A Gm
and you could take care of me.

   Am F A#
mmmmmm, If I could've met you at school, or met you at work,
                      Gm
It would have changed everything.
      C F A#
Those years of losing, confusion and insecurity,
                     Gm
They would have been shared,
                     Am A#
they would have been ea-si-er, oh-
F Am
Tim, wish you were born a girl,
                     A#
Wish you were born a girl,
   A Gm
So I could've been your fiancé.
    C Dm A#
I'm not saying you can't be all these things for me,
                      F C F
But it's just not the same because you're a man, and so am I

On the solo, he sort of slides, but I can't pin-pont exactly where, so listen to the
to see how he does it.

It is in standard tuning, not half step down.
The chords in the tab seem correct, I personally wouldn't bother with nathew's correction.

I like using the B string for the first bit of the solo, until the chord change to A#. Also during the Gm where it plays the 3rd and 1st fret.
