Strumming
There is no strumming pattern for this song yet. and get +5 IQ
This is my first time posting and I worked the chords out on my own so I hope this
is ok. I played this with the capo on 3rd and I used d-du-d-du-d as the strum pattern.

[Verse]
C F
Written in these walls are the stories that I can't explain
 C F
I leave my heart open but it stays right here empty for days
Am F C
She told me in the morning she don't feel the same about us in her bones
Am F C
It seems to me that when I die these words will be written on my stone

[Pre-Chorus]
            F G C
And I'll be gone gone tonight
                      F G C
The ground beneath my feet is open wide
                    F G C
The way that I been holdin' on too tight
                G
With nothing in between

[Chorus]
    C
The story of my life I take her home
  F Am
I drive all night to keep her warm and time
   F C
Is frozen (the story of, the story of)
    C
The story of my life I give her hope
  F Am F
I spend her love until she's broke inside
                C
The story of my life (the story of, the story of)

[Verse]
C F
Written on these walls are the colors that I can't change
C F
Leave my heart open but it stays right here in its cage

  Am
I know that in the morning
     F C
I'll see us in the light upon your ear
  Am F C
Although I am broken, my heart is untamed still

[Pre-Chorus]
            F G C
And I'll be gone gone tonight
                    F G C
The fire beneath my feet is burning bright
                    F G C
The way that I been holdin' on so tight

[Bridge]
           Am F G
And I been waiting for this time to come around
         Am F G
But baby running after you is like chasing the clouds

    C
The story of my life I take her home
  F Am
I drive all night to keep her warm and time
   F C
Is frozen

[Chorus]
    C
The story of my life I give her hope (give her hope)
  F Am F
I spend her love until she's broke inside (until she's broke inside)
                C
The story of my life (the story of, the story of)
                C F
The story of my life
                C F
The story of my life (the story of, the story of)
                   C
The story of my life

for the verses I decided it sounds better if you play it C then Am and use ddud as the strum pattern, hope this sounds better.

Finnaly a good full chord version of this song. Play it with you tube in the backround...sounds the same. GOOD JOB

I think that it sounds better if you play Am,C,Am,C instead of C,F,C,F in the beginning of the verse and an Am instead of an C in the bridge.
