VERSE

C# (8 beats) F# (8 beats)
Welcome back, winter once again,
                G# (4 beats)
And put on your warm fuzzy sweater
    A#m (4 beats) F# (4 beats)
Cuz you'll feel much better...when,

---Follow this timing pattern for other verses------

    C# F#
The snowflakes fall, gently to the ground.
                G#
The temperature drops and your shivers
A#m F#
Freeze all the rivers around...

PRECHORUS
               F# (2 beats) G# (2 beats) A#m (4 beats)
But I keep you warm
F# G# A#m
F# G# A#m
F# C# G# <-----Changes last time thru

VERSE

If speed's a pro, Inertia must be a con
Cuz the cold wind blows at precise rates
When I've got my ice skates on

If all the roads were paved with ice that wouldn't thaw or crack
I could skate from Maine to Nebraska
then on to Alaska, and back

PRECHORUS
                 F# (2 beats) G# (2 beats) A#m (4 beats)
Cuz you keep me warm
F# G# A#m
F# G# A#m
F# C# G#

CHORUS

F# G# A#m
Peer over the edge. Can you see me?
F# G# A#m
Rivulets flow from your eyes
F# G# A#m
Paint runs from your mouth like a waterfall
F# C# G#
And your lungs crystalize.

F# G# A#m
I'll travel the sub-zero tundra

F# G# A#m
I'll brave glaciers and frozen lakes

F# G# A#m
And that's just the tip of the iceberg
F# C# G#
I'll do whatever it takes

To change...

---Pause---
F# G# A#m
F# G# A#m
F# G# A#m
F# C# G#

INSTRUMENTAL
G# C# F#
G# C# F#

G# C# F#
Farewell powdery paradise
G# C# F#
We'd rather skate on the thinnest ice
G# C# F#
Fingers failed us before they froze
G# C# F#
Frostbite bit down on all our toes

F# G# A#m
Snow drifts build up and enfold us
F# G# A#m
As we wait out this winter storm
F# G# A#m
So we snuggle close in the darkness
F# C# G# C#
And keep each other soooooo.... warm

Hey. Just an easier version for people who are inexperienced with barre chords. Just throw a capo on the first fret.
Play C, F, G, and Am instead of all those sharps.

'GeetarAndBase' made a good point that I hadn't thought about lol.
This song can also be played with a capo on the first fret,
then use the chords C, F, G, and Am.
