Key: D

[Verse 1]

D A Bm G
Switch on the sky and the stars glow for you
D A Em G
Go see the world because it's all so brand new
D A Bm G
Don't close your eyes 'cause your future's ready to shine
D A Em G D A
It's just a matter of time before we learn how to fly

[Pre-chorus]

Bm G D A
Welcome to the rhythm of the night
        Em G D A Bm G D A Em
There's something in the air you can't deny, deny

[Chorus]
                           D A Bm
It's been fun but now I've got to go
       G D A Em
Life is way too short to take it slow
     G D A Bm
But before I go and hit the road
G D A Em G D
I gotta know, till then when can we do this again?
    A Bm
(Whoa oh oh)
         G D
When can I see you again?
    A Em
(Whoa oh oh)
            G D
When can we do this again?
    A Bm
(Whoa oh oh)
G D A Em G D A Em G
I gotta know, when-can-I-see-you-again?

[Verse 2] (as verse 1):

Joined at the hip, yeah, your sidekick needs you
Life is a trip on the road that leads you
Look all around at the mountains you haven't climbed
It's just a matter of time before we learn how to fly

Welcome to the rhythm of the night
There's something in the air you can't deny, deny

[Chorus]
                           D A Bm
It's been fun but now I've got to go
       G D A Em
Life is way too short to take it slow
     G D A Bm
But before I go and hit the road
G D A Em G D
I gotta know, till then when can we do this again?
    A Bm
(Whoa oh oh)
         G D
When can I see you again?
    A Em
(Whoa oh oh)
            G D
When can we do this again?
    A Bm
(Whoa oh oh)
G D A Em G D A Em G
I gotta know, when-can-I-see-you-again?

[Pre-chorus 2]

D A Bm G

I enjoy the song, but man I'm having issues switching quickly enough between A and Bm, guess I just need to practice more

Try to play the whole song with bar chords. Then switching between A and Bm is very easy :
A Bm
5 7
5 7
6 7
7 9
7 9
5 7

Playing along with it, I'm pretty sure it's in D#

You can either put a capo on 1 or just transpose it up half a step
