Capo 5
[Verse]
C G
I've been living in this month of Sundays
C F
for so long I don't remember Saturday night.
C
Broken records don't play new tunes
G
except for once in a blue moon.
F G C
And I've looked but the moon is still white.
[Verse]
C G
And I've been summoned to the summit of Sundays
C F
someone somewhere may do something with his life.
C
A smoker's lungs don't blow balloons
G
except for once in a blue moon.
F G C
And I've looked but the moon is still white.
F C
Rusty guns fire rusty shots, leopards never change their spots,
C G
fireworks always fade too soon.
F Am
Empty words don't mean a lot and from me that's all you've got.
G
But I swear to you darling one day we'll stand beneath a blue moon.
[Verse]
C G
I've been living in this month of Sundays,
C F
and I forget what Monday morning feels like.
C G
Blushing brides and handsome grooms deep in debt from honeymoons
F G C
Stare above but the moon is still white.
C G
I've wandered into wondering if one day,
C F
when the war is won, and one finally made two
C G
When we think not of what we've not, and think only of what we've got
F G C
And we go dancing underneath the blue moon.
[Verse]
F C
All black kettles and black pots seem to fight an awful lot,
C G
and make the kitchen the most uncomfortable of rooms
F Am
Empty words don't mean a lot, but from me that's all you've got.
G
I swear to you darling one day we'll stand beneath a blue moon.
[Bridge]
Am C F
Oh, oh. Oh, oh. Oh, oh, oh.
[Verse]
C G
So I've been living in this month of Sundays
C F
and I don't know when this month may be through.
C G
So will you tell me that you'll wait for as long as it may take
F G C
And I swear darling I'll show you a blue moon
F G C
Oh my darling I'll show you a blue moon.

Great tab! For the little humming part in the end I would use a Em instead of a C :)
Am Em F G
Oh, oh. Oh, oh. Oh, oh, oh.

I think this is a great tab...I agree with the other two commenters on suggested modifications, but even without them it sounds really good. I did find myself throwing in an extra switch in a few places. For example, at the end of the line
and make the kitchen the most uncomfortable of rooms
I threw in a G chord (which actually makes it match with the first two verses about broken records and smokers lungs). I also played a C then went back to G at the end of the lines like this one:
But I swear to you darling one day well stand beneath a blue moon.
Otherwise, it seemed like a long time to hold the G, but I play the song more slowly than the record version, so that may have something to do with it. Anyway, I don't recommend those as edits, but just as ideas that others, especially others who slow it down and fingerpick it, may want to try.
Great tab--thanks.
