This is my own version. If you time it right it can sound pretty good,
but it is different than from the original. About the intro I am pretty sure the Em and G are correct.
Though I am not very sure, cause I tried it by hearing the album version.
It's my first tab as well so any tips given will be appreciated.

[Intro]

Em G C
With progress comes problems

Em G C
With wisdom comes age

Em         G C
With lessons come learning

Em G C
And pleasure comes with pain

E G C
You can only have the sunshine

(Strum the next three chords only 1 time. hold guitar silence for the next line.)

Em C/G C

after the rain

Em Em Em Em 2x

[Verse]

Em C/G
I took a walk
   C
It got me thinking

Em C/G
Left foot, right foot

C Am
Smiling, blinking

Em C/G
Breathe out, breathe in

C
Somehow linking

Em C/G C Am
My soul to my mind and my heart to my mouth

Em C/G C Am
Lost and the found and the north to the south

G D
And the corners to the circle in my mind

[Chorus]

G D Am
We may find that the gate has been locked

G D Am
When we come back down to what we really are

G D Am
Retrace the footprints off the path that is lost

G D G Am
It's like trying to find a needle in the dark

[Verse]

Em C/G
My hands they are empty

C Am
But they are clean

Em C/G
I'm poor but I'm healthy

C Am
I'm halfway between

C G C
The gutter and the skyline

Am G D
So I took a walk to the land's end

Am G D
Thinking about an ex-girlfriend that I had

D Am
And the pages that I've turned

G
And it seems to me

D
That we all love the chase

Am G
But once we're caught we feel encased

D
Behind bars of love and trust

Am G
Uprooted by drunken lust

G D
By people, people just like us

Am G D
People, people just like us

And now...

[Chorus]

G D Am
You may find that the gate has been locked

G D Am
When we come back down to what we really are

G D Am
Retrace the footprints off the path that's been lost

G D G Am
It's like trying to find a needle in the dark

[Verse]

Em C/G C
So I took a walk to the station

Am
Lost in my imagination

       Em C/G C
Having private conversations with myself

   Em C/G
And I'm just stumbling around

   C
And I wait for the sound

G D
Of this crumbling town to come tumbling down

C G
People say I'm just bummin' around

    D Am
But I've had both my ears to the ground

[Outro]

Am C C/G Em
Am C C/G Em

End by strumming the Em 1 time down.

I like to hammer my chords on for that extra sound. It's totally up to you.

I made the tab that's currently listed as version 1. But I honestly don't know how you got these chords, or that timing even. If you tabbed some alternate live version of the song, please, do tell. Because this sounds nothing like the original.

It isn't the original. It's more like my own version. (At least with the chords)

Your version is perfect and sounds like the original, but I wanted to try it a little bit different. And after some practicing I managed to let it sound good. It's just different than from the original.

I should have said this before. Apologies for that.
