I missed the saturday dance,
                         D7
heard they crowded the floor.

 Couldn't bear it without you,

 don't get around much anymore.

I thought I'd visit the club,
got as far as the door.
They'd have asked me about you,
don't get around much anymore.

Basic chords are OK, but important parts don't sound right.
Here's what I would suggest:

VERSE / SOLO
| E A | A | D7/9 | C#7+9 |
| F# G# A Bb | B A G# F# | E A | E |
[single notes]

MIDDLE 8
| A6 A | A6 A | E(add9) E | E(add9) E |
| F# | F# | B | % | % | % |

VOICINGS
E-A-D-G-B-e
D7/9 x-5-4-5-5-x
C#7/+9 x-4-3-4-5-x
A6 x-0-2-2-2-2
E(add9) 0-2-2-1-0-2

Don't see what the problems are. Sounds good to me. Yes there are more chords going on with the actual song but, hey, this sounds correct and is a fun song to play. Good job man.
