Hey,
This is one of my fave McCartney Songs.
I haven't been playing long but have found a really easy way to play this.
The Verse bits I pick with a plectrum, and the chorus chords I Strum, finishing with a quickly played A.
Have Fun,
Rich

Main Riff (Intro/Verse)

D Open

E|-------2----------0--|
B|-----3----------0----|
G|---2----------0------|
D|-0----------0--------|
A|---------------------|
E|---------------------|

Verse

Bend, little willow
Wind's gonna blow you
Hard and cold tonight

Life, as it happens
Nobody warns you
Willow, hold on tight.

G A
Nothing's gonna shake your love
                  D
Take your love away
G A
No one's out to break your heart
                            D A
It only seems that way...hey

Sleep little willow
Peace gonna follow
Time's gonna heal your wounds
Grow to the heavens
Now and forever
Always came too soon.

Little willow

Nothing's gonna shake your love
Take your love away
No one's out to break your heart
It only seems that way...hey

Bend, little willow
Wind's gonna blow you
Hard and cold tonight
Life, as it happens
Nobody warns you
Willow, hold on tight.

Ahhh, little willow
Little willow

The second chord that is picked (after the D) is NOT 4 open notes.

Instead, you pick the open d string, 2nd fret G string, open high e string, and then 3rd fret high e string.
