CAPO 5th fret

Tim

I did see diamond on the soles of her shoes on the web but wrong chords!
I got mine from the songbook years ago when I was sat in the library at
Manchester when i should have been working.
The 5th fret thing is my touch cause I saw Paul playing this song live
in a documentary with capo on.

[Verse]

C F
People say she's crazy, she's got diamonds
       G C F
on the soles of her shoes, well that's
            G C
one way to lose these walking blues
F G C F G
diamonds on the soles of her shoes.

C
She's was physically forgotten then she
F G C
slipped into my pocket with my car keys.
     F G C
she said you've taken me for granted
 F G
because I please you wearing these
 C F G
diamonds

[Chorus]

C F G C F
And I could say ooooo as if everybody
G C F
knows what I'm talking about as if
                       G
everybody here would knows excally what I
     C F G
was talking about, Talking about diamonds
         C F G
of her shoes.

[Verse]

    C F
She makes the sign of a teaspoon he makes
G C F
the sign of a wave the poor boy changes
 G C
clothes and puts on aftershave to
F G C F G
compensate for his ordinary shoes
     C F
And she said honey take me dancing but
        G C
they ended up by sleeping in a doorway
 F G
by the bodegas and the lights on upper
  C F G C

of her shoes

[Chorus]

C F G C F
And I could say ooooo as if everybody
G C F
knows what I'm talking about as if
                       G
everybody here would knows excally what I
     C F G
was talking about, Talking about diamonds

It's a great song, and a good version but the places the chord changes are wrong in the second half of the second and third verses. only my opinion, but try fitting the changes to the natural breaks in the timing with your eyes closed and you'll see what I mean.
