Strumming
There is no strumming pattern for this song yet. and get +5 IQ
I actually played with the song to get the right chords for this song, but E7
and C+2 (if that is the real chord name) sound very similar, so I think i have
the right ones the right places. This is a Good song, enjoy

G E7 C D C+2
320033 022030 x32010 xx0232 x32030

G E7
Oh, where oh where can my baby be?
C D
The Lord took her away from me.
G E7
She's gone to heaven, so I got to be good,
   C D G
so I can see my baby when I leave this world.

     G E7
We were out on a date in my daddy's car.
C D
We hadn't driven very far.
 	G C+2
There in the road, straight ahead ...
C D
The car was stalled, the engine was dead.
         G E7
I couldn't stop, so I swerved to the right.
C D
Never forget the sound that night ...
        G C+2
The screamin' tires, the bustin' glass.
C D G
The painful scream that I heard last.
 G E7
Well, where oh where can my baby be?
C D
The Lord took her away from me.
G C+2
She's gone to heaven, so I got to be good,
C D G
so I can see my baby when I leave this world.
 G E7
Well, when I woke up, the rain was pourin' down.
C D
There were people standing all around.
G E7
Something warm running through my eyes,
C D
but somehow I found my baby that night.
G C+2
I lifted her head, and she looked at me and said,
C D
"Hold me darling just a little while."
G E7
I held her close. I kissed her our last kiss.
C D
I found the love that I knew I had missed,
G E7 .
But now she's gone, even though I hold her tight.
C D G
I lost my love ... my life, that night.

G C+2
oh, where oh where can my baby be?
C D
The Lord took her away from me.
G E7
She's gone to heaven, so I got to be good,
C D G
So I can see my baby when I leave this world

G C
ooohhhhh oh ooooohhhhhooooohhhh
G D
ooohhhhh ah oooooohhhhhooohhhhh (3 or 4 times)

slowly strum through a full G chord 320033 for the last chord to end the song

Peace and Love,
Brendan Harris

That E7 is actually an Em7, and that C+2 is actually a Cadd9, I believe.

I haven't heard a recording of this song in a long time, but those chords should sound okay. I always just used an Em and a C.
