[Verse 1: Vic Fuentes and Jason Butler]

Em
Don't you say you had a part of it
D
guess we'll never know
Em
Oh would you say that had a part of it
D G Em
Well I guess we'll never know

Constant recovery
                D G
I see you choke and it takes my breath away
Em D
But all is good, we close our eyes

[Pre-Chorus 1: Vic and Jason]

                           A
They all accept the lie
C G Am Em
So bury what you are outside
                                D G C
Brother, promise you won't leave me

[Chorus: Vic]

Em C
I know you're tortured within
                       Em C
Your eyes look hungry again
                  A C
But I'll never wander, my friend

[Verse 2]

E Em D G D Am
And so I scream, "Mayday, I'm in trouble, send somebody on the double."
                 C G D
Scratching at the floor inside my mind

[Pre-Chorus 2: Vic and Jason]

             G Em
They all accept the lie
             G Am Em
So bury what you are outside
                                   Am
Brother, please don't be afraid of...

[Chorus]

Em C
I know you're tortured within
Em C
Your eyes look hungry again
      A C
But I'll never wander, my friend

[Bridge: Vic and Jason]

         A
I let you down
                    G C
And I started to run
Em F G A
Never meant to be your pain
G
What have I become?
C Em Am
Show me and show me the way back
F Am C
Show me the way back home
    G C E Am C
I know you're tortured within
                       Em A Am C
Your eyes look hungry again
      Am A C
But I'll never wander, my friend
           G Am A C
No, I'll never wander again
Em
I know what I want,
C
But it's not what I need
E
Can I just have one more taste
                                  Em
Just to make it through the day
G
You're tangled in
Am A G Em
You're tangled in the great escape
G Em
Great escape, oh

[Outro: Jason]

E Am C
I never meant to hurt nobody, no no, yeah
E Am C
I never meant to hurt you, no no no no
Em C Em Am C
I only meant to do this to myself, to myself, to myself
Em
Great escape
C
Great escape
         E
Great escape
Am C
Oh, great escape
A C
Let me out of this, yeah (x2)

i think a lot of the majors should be minor and some chords aren't placed correctly. also in the last chorus there are a lot of unneeded chords, but overall, good job. 4/5

There are too many chords for the amount of words. It just doesn't work really. I appreciate the chords though so I can build off what you have
