Pink Floyd - Green Is The Colour (Waters)

[Intro]

G C G C G Bm C Em D

[Verse 1]

G C
Heavy hung the canopy of blue
G C
Shade my eyes and I can see you
G Bm C Em D
White is the light that shines through the dress that you wore

[Verse 2]

G C
She lay in the shadow of the wave
G C
Hazy were the visions of her playing
G Bm C Em D
Sunlight on her eyes but moonshine made her blind every time

[Verse 3]

G C
Green is the colour of her kind
G C
Quickness of the eye deceives the mind
G Bm C Em D
Envy is the bond between the hopeful and the damned

[Outro]

G C G C G C D

Hey, nice tab! I could think of a small improvement, but a very effective one. Ive listened to a few versions, and Im sure they do this on the song. Instead of a C in the verses put a CMaj7, and it makes it sound so peaceful and really lovely. In the "chorus", though, (the part where you have the G Bm C Em D) you have to leave the CMaj as you've put it. Beautiful song :)

Great tab, but nitpicking a little bit on the lyrics: the last line should be "Envy is the bond between the hopeful and the damned," not dying!

But again, great tab.

(I didn't mean to post this as a correction... sorry.)
