Tuning : Standard

The chorus becomes a new verse without much warning, so pay attention.
Otherwise, another simple but effective bassline from Miss Deal.

[Verse 1] (x4)
"Gouge away..."

G|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|
D|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|
A|-----------------|-----------------|-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-|

E|-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-|-----------------|

[Chorus 1]
"Missy aggravation..."

Note that the chorus is very short, so by the time the last line of the chorus is being
sung, you are back into playing the verse again.

G|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|
D|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|
A|-----------------|-----------------|-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-|
E|-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-|-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-|-----------------|

D|-----------------|-----------------|
A|-----------------|-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-|
E|-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-|-----------------|

[Chorus 2]
"Sleeping on your belly..."

G|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|
D|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|
A|-----------------|-----------------|-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-|
E|-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-|-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-|-----------------|

G|-----------------|-----------------|
D|-----------------|-----------------|
A|-----------------|-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-|
E|-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-|-----------------|

[Verse 3] (x3)
"with holy fingers...Gouge away..."

Remember to throw in the emphasis on the last few notes on the third time
before you go into the chorus. Go on, be angry.

G|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|
D|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|
A|-----------------|-----------------|-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-|
E|-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-|-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-|-----------------|

G|-----------------|-----------------|
D|-----------------|-----------------|
A|-----------------|-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-|
E|-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-|-----------------|

[Chorus 3] (x3)
"Chained to the pillars..."

So do you play the same thing for the verse and the chorus? If so why would you write 'The chorus becomes a new verse without much warning..', and if not then what do you play for the chorus?

I hear |-6-7-7-7-6-7-7-7-| during the chorus.

Chekt is right;

the song is basically the same riff over and over again; but there's the 6-7 as Chekt said on the A string. I thought that was very obvious, also you bend the 7s as well.

There's also tiny gaps where the beginning note of the last measure of the chorus isn't played, and you hit the notes going into the choruses HARD. I mean listen carefully... you hit em really hard.
