|C|F|C|F|

In the (C) heart of the night
In the (F) cool southern rain (Dm)
There's a (C) full moon in sight
Shinin' down (F) on the Pontchartrain (Dm)
And the (C) river she rises
Just like she (F) used to do (Dm)
She's so (C) full of surprises
She (F) reminds me of you (Dm)

Chorus:
In the (Am) heart of the night (Dm)
In the (Am) heart of the night (F)
In the (Am) heart of the night (Dm)
Oh, down in (C) New Orleans (F) (Dm)

There's a (C) nightbird singing
Right on (F) through till the dawn (Dm)
And the (C) streets are still ringing
With people (F) carrying on (Dm)
It's been (C) so long waiting
Just to (F) be here again (Dm)
(C) Anticipating
All the (F) time I could spend (Dm)

(Chorus)

And I (C) trust in your love
Never (F) fallin' down
And I (C) trust in your love
Just like I (F) do in this town
Oh, never (Dm) fallin' down
Oh, never fallin' down |C|F|C|F|

In the (C) heart of the night
In the (F) cool fallin' rain (Dm)
There's a (C) full moon in sight
Shinin' down (F) on the Pontchartrain (Dm)
And the (C) river she rises
Just like she (F) used to do (Dm)
She's so (C) full of surprises
She (F) reminds me of you (Dm)

(Chorus)

And I'm so glad to be (F) back in New Orleans (Dm)
Please don't wake me, don't (C) shake me
If it's only, if it's (F) only just a dream (Dm)
Cause it's the (C) only place that I can face
It makes me (F) feel so right (Dm)
Below that (C) Dixie moon and lovin' you
In the (F) heart of the night (Dm)

Lack of accuracy. These don't sound like the right chords. I've always seen it played in key of d and there was some really beautiful flow that these don't have.
