Intro:
C

Verse:
C D A E F
Forgive me my ties, connections and loose ends
C D A E F
This is for the eyes eyes buried in my neck
       C G
With a promise of the future, of the uncertain I play it so sure
    E F
Our drifting thing will someday land

Chorus:
    F C
And I could take you home
    F C G D B
The lights would, would twitch and blow
    F C
And you could finally see
     F C G D B C
The "us" that we're supposed to be

Verse:
C D A E F
When you picture me away, It's Alfie Elkins '66
    C
But you didn't see my face
     D A
When all the kids dancing brought down that place
       E F
I was more Alvy Singer
     C G
Each time you put me on the train I'm less and less sure you'll do it again
E F
   Don't do it again

Chorus:
     F C
'Cuz we could raise our flag
      F C G D B
First hem the tattered edge
 F C
Close our eyes and be
    F C G D B
In love at seventeen
  F C
(Close) Close our eyes and be (whoa)
  F C C/B
(Close) Close our eyes and be, be
  F C
(Close) Close our eyes and be (whoa)
   F
In love
   G C
In love at seventeen

Nice! If you wanted to play/sing it acoustic with full chords, the A's and D's would all be Am and Dm, and I'd play all of the B's as C/B. Thanks for tabbing! 5 stars
