Prince: Purple Rain

Edit: Thanks to some input from user Augie9000, I have made some changes to this
tab to make it more accurate. I am using a different Eadd9 than he recommended
though, because it's more efficient with respect to the position of the other
chords on the neck, and probably more familiar to most players.

Capo 1 for the key that it's played on the album. But sounds great open.

Chords:

Asus2 XX2200
F#m11 202200
Eadd9 022101
D5 XX0235

[Verse]

                                        Asus2 F#m11 Eadd9
I never wanted to be your weekend lover

[Verse]

Asus2 F#m11
Honey, I know, I know, I know times are changin'
Eadd9 D5
It's time we all reach out for something new, (that means you too)
Asus2 F#m11
You say you want a leader, but you can't seem to make up your mind
Eadd9 Asus2
And I think you better close it and let me guide you to the purple rain

[Chorus]

                       D5
    Purple rain purple rain
D5 Asus2
    Purple rain purple rain

(If you know what I'm singin' about up here, come on raise your hand)

F#m11 Eadd9
    Purple rain purple rain
Eadd9 Asus2
I only want to see you, only want to see you in the purple rain

f#m11 is not a crazy chord. It is right.

With the F#m11 if you are not muting the top two strings (5 and 6) when you play the asus2, the f#m11 won't sound much different. In other words it forces you to play that asus2 correctly. However, if you did skip it, I don't suppose it would sound that bad. Thanks for the kudos though.
