 Bb
Where you can hear a country song from far
                                     F
and someone plays the honky-tonk guitar
                                        Bb
Where all the lights will go out one by one
                     C
the people join the sun
         C7 F
and the wind takes it away

           Bb
Where the Mississippi rolls down to the sea
                                           F
and lovers found the place they'd like to be
                                     Bb
how many times before the song was ending
                F
love and understanding
             Bb
everywhere around

 Bb F
Miii....iiii ... ssissippi,
                      Bb
I'll remember you, whenever I should go away
 F
I'll be longing for the day
     C F D# Dm C
that I will be in dream again ...

 Bb F
Miii....iiii ... ssissippi,
                 Bb
you'll be on my mind
D# Bb
... everytime I hear this song
                   F
Mississippi roll along
                   Bb
 until the end of time

 D# Bb F

Now the country song for ever lost its soul
when the guitar player turned to rock & roll
and everytime when summernights are falling
I will always be calling dreams of yesterday

Mississippi ...

I forget to change the B chords to Bb chord

Some chords are missing or wrong, and parts of the Lyrics are not right either...!

After some years pass while I published the transcription of this song, I carefully examined it again, regarding to comments and some low ratings. The chords are rights and I cant find any of them missing, but perhaps its the bad tuning of the original song that makes them not to sound right - Like the most recordings from the 70s the song were recorded in the slightly lower pitch. That was quite common those days.
The solution is to lower the tuning of your guitar... let's say for a quarter of a turn of the tuning keys.
