Queens of the Stone Age - Like Clockwork

from the 2013 Album "...Like Clockwork"

This tab is a work in progress and will be updated and improved upon

eb Tuning

You'll need to listen to the song for the timings of the chords as it can be a little
tricky at first.

[Intro]

F#m A E C#m

[Verse 1]

F#m A
Everyone it seems,
E C#m
has somewhere to go.

F#m A
And the faster the world spins,
E C#m
the shorter the lights will glow.

      F#m A
And I'm swimming in the night.
E C#m
chasing down the moon.

F#m A
The deeper in the water
E C#m
the more I long for you

[Chorus 1]

    B G#m
And most of what you see my dear is purely for show
        F#m D C#m
because not everything that goes around comes back around you know

   B G#m
Holding on too long is just a fear of letting go,
        F#m D C#m
because not everything that goes around comes back around you know

 B
One thing that is clear, it's all downhill from here.

(Long instrumental bit that I haven't gone through yet- feel free to figure it out and
post it in the comments)

[Verse 2]

F#m A
The love light in your hand,
E C#m
cleverly disguised.

F#m A
All the promises of stone,
E C#m
crumble in the night.

[Chorus 2]

  B G#m
Most of what you see my dear is worth letting go
        F#m D C#m
because not everything that goes around comes back around you know
  B G#m
Holding on too long is just fear of what to show
        F#m D C#m
because not everything that goes around comes back around you know
F#m D C#m
not everything that goes around comes back around you know

B C#m
One thing that is clear, it's all downhill from here
End on C#m

sounds good, one suggestion is that from listening to the track it sounds better if you play all the chords one bar back, so the chord sequence is
FM, G#, D#, CM
GREAT ALBUM, GREAT SONG!

The chords have been written in relation to the E-flat tuning though(E♭).

So yeah, if you just wanted to play it in standard tuning, play them down one bar like your chords there.
