[Verse]

Em C G D

        Em C
We were born splaying in the wreckage, Buried down on birds with stones
          G D
Bore my weight upon your shoulders, Water as warm as morning suns
          Em C
I don't think quite like I used to, I got a bed to call my own
        G D
I see stars and painted lies, Broken glass upon your road

You're faking, fucked up
C
Drinking all day, you give me a cup
     G D

Can you clarify the strum pattern for the verse and Bridges? When I'm playing it with the song I seem to be slightly off and I can't figure out specifically how they are changing it

Not the same chords... that song is in C#

I found it easier to play the chords as the riff in the beginning rather than the actual chords // Em = the first part of the riff, C = the second, G = the third, D = the fourth part. ((it sounds more like the original as well))
