If you are going to play guitar you should play the full chords so you can
strum them like the pros. This is why I decided to write this tab... To show you how to play
this great song with easy barre chords... not power chords. Barre chords allow you to have
great sound while you strum all of the strings. One note though, on the (A) string chords make
sure you mute the E string.

Chords Used in this song...(chord diagram)

      A D E
  _________ _________ _________
 1 1 1 1 1 1 5th fret x 1 1 1 1 1 5th fret x 1 1 1 1 1 6th fret

  --------- --------- ---------

      A D E A D A
    Repeat this 3 times.

                               The Lyrics!
                      Hey ho let's go
                      Hey ho let's go
                      Hey ho let's go
                      Hey ho let's go

They're forming in a straight line
They're going through a tight wind
The kids are losing their minds
                      The Blitzkrieg Bop
They're piling in the back seat
                      They're generation steam heat
                      Pulsating to the back beat
                      The Blitzkrieg Bop
                      Hey ho let's go
                      Shoot'em in the back now
What they want, I don't know
They're all reved up and ready to go.

The reason you play power chords in punk and not bar chords is because you can strum faster and they give you a much better sound. Especially for rythem pieces! Next time think about it and try not to make things more complicated. Also, anyone who knows anything about guitars knows how to look at a power chord and play the bar chord of that note (and vice versa) so just do the power chords next time and if the person wants to play bars they can figure it out themselves!
