Life is a Highway by Tom Petty/Rascal Flatts

[Intro]

Dm C Bb F C Bb C (2x)

[Verse 1]

Bb
Life’s like a road that you travel on
              F
There’s one day here and the next day gone
        C
Sometimes you bend; sometimes you stand; sometimes you turn your back to the wind
Bb
There’s a world outside every darkened door
            F
Where blues won’t haunt you anymore
                 C
Where the brave are free and lovers soar come ride with me to the distant shore
Dm C
We won’t hesitate to break down the garden gate
Bb G
There’s not much time left today

[Chorus]

Dm C Bb F C Bb C
Life is a highway I wanna ride it all night long
Dm-C Bb F C Bb C
If you’re going my way, I wanna drive it all night long

[Verse 2] (same as verse 1 chords)

        Bb
Through all these cities, and all these towns
     F
It's in my blood and in it's all around
  C
I love you now, like I loved you then;
C
This is the road, and these are the hands
     Bb
From Mozambique to those memphis nights
    F
The Khyber Pass to Vancouver's Lights
C
Knock me down and back up again
       C
You're in my blood, I'm not a lonely man
Dm C
There's no load that I can hold, road's so rough, this I know
Bb
I'll be there when the light comes in
     G
Just tell 'em we're survivors

[Chorus] x2

Dm C Bb F C Bb C
Life is a highway I wanna ride it all night long
Dm-C Bb F C Bb C
If you’re going my way, I wanna drive it all night long

[Bridge]

Gm Bb Dm C Gm
There was a distance between you and I (echo: between you and I)
                       Bb C
A misunderstanding once, but now we look it in the eye

[Solo: Adam….]( While band plays intro)

Dm C Bb F C Bb C (2x)

[Outro]

Dm C
There's no load that I can hold, road's so rough, this I know
Bb
I'll be there when the light comes in
     G
Just tell 'em we're survivors

Think the tab is great! And is quite similar to the song. Don't actually see why the earlier comments are so negative! Of Course it don't sound like the song, when you don't play it with the same rhythm, i played it on piano sound quite right!

I agree with anfimeister, it sounds spot on to me! I think there's meant to be a C between the Bb and F in the intro/chorus, but even without that it sounds fine. Good job!
