Standard Tuning

Intro: Am, C, G

      C
Baby, look here at me
                            G
Have you ever seen me this way
          Em7
I've been fumblin' for words

Through the tears and the hurt and the
D
pain

B
I'm gonna lay it all out
G Em7 D
On the line tonight
      C G
And I think that it's time
   Em7 D
To tell this uphill fight goodbye

CHORUS
                     C
Have you ever had to love someone
     G Em7 D
That just don't feel the same
                        C
Tryin' to make somebody care for you
    G
The way I do
        Em7 D
Is like tryin' to catch the rain
               C
And if love is really forever
      Em7 G D
I'm a winner at a losin' game

             C
I know that baby, you tried
           G Em7 D
To find me somewhere inside of you
        C
But you know you can't lie
 G Em7 D
Girl, you can't hide the truth, oh no

B
  Sometimes two hearts
           G Em7 D
Just can't dance to the same beat
        C G
So I'll pack up my things
         Em7 D
And I'll take what remains of me

Repeat Chorus

            C G
I know that I'll never be the man that you need or love
               Em7
Yeah, baby it's killin' me to stand here and see
        D
I'm not what you've been dreamin' of

Repeat Chorus
                   C
Oh, oh, if love is really forever

      G Em7 D
I'm a winner at a losin' game
  C G
   Ooo, I'm tired of losing

Em7 D C G Em7 Dsus4
  Oh, oh, oh

Very nice try, CL, but I just tried playing your version along with the recording and it has some problems. Not sure if you're using a capo, but none of the chords you specified seem to match up. Also, I noticed a problem with some of the chords that are minor quality in the recording, but you said they are major quality. Also, the intro doesn't seem to match. I'm hearing Am, C and G. If you really wanted to get fancy, you could toss in an AmSus2 after the Am and a CMaj7 after the C. Did you intend for the guitarist to use a capo? Is this version supposed to match a particular recorded version of this song? Thanks!

used no capo, it actually sounded quite accurate when I played along. I recently noticed that more chord placements were needed, as well as the B chord was in the second part of the first and second verses. I took your suggest to change the intro chords, but the main chord progression stayed the same
