Different key than the original, may not be exactly right but it's fun to play!

[Verse 1]

A A/C# D D#dim7
Let me tell you 'bout a girl I know
A A/C# D D#dim7
She is my baby and she lives next door
A A7 A7#5
Every mornin' 'fore the sun comes up
D D#dim7
She brings me coffee in my favorite cup
            A C#7 F#m
That's why I know, yes, I know
D7 B7 E9 A
Hallelujah, I just love her so

(same as verse 1 chords progression)

When I'm in trouble and I have no friend
I know she'll go with me until the end
Everybody asks me how I know
I smile at them and say, "She told me so"
That's why I know, oh, I know
Hallelujah, I just love her so

[Chorus]

D D#dim7
Now, if I call her on the telephone
A A7
And tell her that I'm all alone
D9 C9
By the time I count from one to four
  B9 E9
I hear her [KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK] on my door

(chorus chords progression)

In the evening when the sun goes down
When there is nobody else around
She kisses me and she holds me tight
And tells me, "Daddy, everything's all right"
That's why I know, yes, I know
Hallelujah, I just love her so

[Chorus]
(same as the first one)

Now, if I call her on the telephone
And tell her that I'm all alone
By the time I count from one to four
I hear her [KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK] on my door

(chorus chords progression)

In the evening when the sun goes down
When there is nobody else around
She kisses me and she holds me tight
And tells me, "Daddy, everything's all right"
That's why I know, yes, I know
Hallelujah, I just love her so
Oh, hallelujah
Don't you know, I just love her so

D#dim7 at end of lines one & two?! Surely not? The first two lines vamp A A7/C# D E (or E7 or E7 sus4 or other similar). In 4th line ends with A diminished - you could just say D# diminished if you wanted to as it is same chord with different root ...
