Are We Really Through
By Ray LaMontagne
Transcribed by Slobrien

Intro is the B Bmaj7 B7 E7 progression but you add the sus4 and then the sus2 as
ornaments to each chord except the cadence on the E7

B Bmaj7
Is the Sun, Ever Gonna Break,
                       B7
Break on through the clouds,
                      E E7
Shine Down in all its Glory

B Bmaj7
Onto Me, Here Upon the Ground,
                         B7
'Cause I can't hear the sound,
              E E7
'Cept my own sad story

F# E A G B
I get so tired staring at the walls
F# E D B
Weight so heavy and that Mountain so tall
F# E D F# B
Is there no one who would catch me if I fall?
Bmaj7 B7 E E7
Is there no one who would catch me if I fall?

B Bmaj7
I'ts more it's more than I can take
                    B7
I wish that I could fake it,
                       E E7
Pretend like I don't know what's goin' on

      B Bmaj7
Somethings Wrong, Somethings Wrong,
                     B7
I'm a trying to hold on,
                   E E7
For just a little longer

F# E A G B
I get so tired staring at the walls
F# E D B
Weight so heavy Mountain so tall
F# E D F# B
Is there no one who would catch me if I fall?
Bmaj7 B7 E E7
Who's gonna catch me if I fall

E B
Can you hear me?
F#
Can you see me?
               E
Why is that so hard for you to do?
E B
Don't dispel me girl,

Just tell me,
D F# B
  Are we really through?

B Bmaj7
Is the Sun, Ever Gonna Break,
                       B7
Break on through the clouds,
                      E E7
Shine Down in all its Glory

B Bmaj7
Onto Me, Here Upon the Ground,
                         B7
'Cause I can't hear the sound,
              E E7
'Cept my own sad story

E B
Can you hear me?
F#
Can you see me?
               E
Why is that so hard for you to do?
E B
Don't dispel me girl,

Just tell me,
D F# B
  Are we really through?
D F# B
  Are we really through?

I think that E7 should be an Esus to an E... great song!

Does anyone think that the F# on the lines "can you hear me, can you see me" should be played on the end of the second line not at the beginning?
