Ray LaMontange's "Without Words" from the soundtrack "The Fault in our Stars"

1st Tab I've submitted, so forgive me if not 100%, but it's real close.

Standard turning
If you listen the song, you'll get the strumming patterns down.
Instead of just playing D6, it sounds better by placing your thumb over the Low E string third fret
As listed below.

D6/G D9

The strumming pattern is simple. Or at least how I do it sounds very much like the song.
So when I start on D, I usually strum the D string open alone, and strum down and let it ring for a sec, then go up, down, up. I do this twice for every and remain doing it throughout the song until you hit the slow Break of the song. So it should look like this
'^' =Strum down 'v' =strum up ~ =let ring

----^2~--v2-^2-v2----^2~--v2-^2-v2----^2~---------------
----^3~--v3-^3-v3----^3~--v3-^3-v3----^2~----and so on--
----^2~--v2-^2-v2----^2~--v2-^2-v2----^2~---------------
--0----------------0----------------0-------------------
--------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------

Not hitting the open D by itself isn't a huge deal, it just sounds better when you hit it with not many other strings. And again, I do this for every chord: The D6/G, the Em, the A, etc.

Hope this helps the strum struggle
