[Intro]
A D E A
A D E A

[Verse 1]
A D A E A
Down on Bowery they lose their ball-eyes and their lip-mouths in the night
              D A E
And stumbling through the street, they say: "Sir, do you got a light?"
    A D A E
And if you do, then you're my friend, and if you don't, then you're my foe
    A D A E
And if you are a deity of any sort, then please don't go

[Chorus]
A D E A
Ne me quitte pas, mon cher, ne me quitte pas, ah-ah-ah
A D E A A
Ne me quitte pas, mon cher, ne me quitte pas

[Verse 2]
    A D A E
And down on Lexington they're wearing new shoes stuck to aging feet
    A D A E
And close their eyes and open, and they'll recognize the aging street
    A D A E
And think about how things were right when they were young and veins were tight
    A D A E
And if you are the Ghost of Christmas Past, then won't you stay the night?

[Chorus]
A D E A
Ne me quitte pas, mon cher, ne me quitte pas, ah-ah-ah
A D E A
Ne me quitte pas, mon cher, ne me quitte pas, ooh-ooh-ooh
A D E A
Ne me quitte pas, mon cher, ne me quitte pas, ah-ah-ah
A D E D A
Ne me quitte pas, mon cher, ne me quitte pa-a-as

[Instrumental Bridge]

A D E D
A D E D

[Verse 3]
A D A E
Down in Bronx-y Bronx the kids go sledding down snow-covered slopes
    A D A E
And frozen noses, frozen toes, the frozen city starts to glow
    A D A E
And yes, they know that it'll melt, and yes, they know New York will thaw
    A D A E
But if you're a friend of any sort, then play along and catch a cold

[Chorus]
A D E A
Ne me quitte pas, mon cher, ne me quitte pas, ah-ah-ah
A D E A
Ne me quitte pas, mon cher, ne me quitte pas, ooh-ooh-ooh
A D E A
Ne me quitte pas, mon cher, ne me quitte pas, ah-ah-ah
A D E D A
Ne me quitte pas, mon cher, ne me quitte pa-a-as

[Bridge]
A D E D
I love Paris in the rain, I love Paris in the rain
A D E D
I love, I love, in the rain, oh-oh-oh
A D E D
I love Paris in the rain, I love Paris in the rain
A D E D
I love, I love, in the rain, oh-oh-oh

A D E D
I love, I love, in the rain, oh-oh-oh
A D E D
I love, I love, in the rain, oh-oh-oh
A D E D
I love, I love, in the rain, oh-oh-oh

[Verse 4]
A D A E
Down in Paris they walk fast, that is unless they're walking slow
    A D A E
And in cafes they look away, that is unless they look right in
    A D A E
And in the gardens I get lost, that is unless I'm getting found
    A D A E
And if you are the ghost of New York City, won't you stick around?

[Chorus]
A D E A
Ne me quitte pas, mon cher, ne me quitte pas, ah-ah-ah
A D E A
Ne me quitte pas, mon cher, ne me quitte pas, ooh-ooh-ooh
A D E A
Ne me quitte pas, mon cher, ne me quitte pas, ah-ah-ah
A D E D A
Ne me quitte pas, mon cher, ne me quitte pa-a-as

[Bridge]
A D E D
I love Paris in the rain, I love Paris in the rain

I love, I love, in the rain, oh-oh-oh
A D E D
I love Paris in the rain, I love Paris in the rain
A D E D
I love, I love, in the rain, oh-oh-oh

It's ball eyes, not bull eyed or ballads

And "if you are the ghost of christmas past" not "ghost of any sort"
