The Gun

This is a tab of an acoustic version I saw so it might not tie up exactly with the record but it's hopefully
not a million miles off. The easiest way to play this is to Barre it all, moving up the neck.

I'm not certain on the lyrics either but they are roughly right.

Intro: C#m Bm Am G#m C#m x3
       A7 G#7 C#m

Verse 1:

       C#m Bm Am G#m C#m A7
And he saw her going out to the cinema...tonight

         C#m Bm Am G#m C#m A7
When she told she'd probably be staying in again...to revise
            G#7
Was it the warm of a hand on the cold of a gun
                                        C#m
The lick of the clip disturbed the air tonight

Verse 2:

C#m Bm Am G#m C#m A7
June was wed to Steve, planned to get rid of him...they claim
      C#m Bm Am G#m C#m A7
It's clear the jury think the doubt is minimal...she's to blame
            G#7
Was it a passionate crime, a rush to the head
                                      C#m
Or did she plot to shoot him down in flames?

Chorus:

      A7 G#7 C#m
'Coz I've killed Kennedys, Kings and Tsars
            A7 G#7 C#m
I did for Lennon, did for Hitler, did for Lee Oswald
    F#m G#7 C#m
And if your number's up I don't care who you are
       B A G#m
If my bang bang bang's coming
 B A G#m
Ahh Ahh Ahh you get running

Interlude:

C#m Bm Am G#m C#m x3
A7 G#7 C#m

Verse 3:

    C#m Bm Am G#m C#m A7
For Stu to get his dues and his inheritance...he conspired
    C#m Bm Am G#m C#m A7
To plan his gran would soon get her deliverence...it transpired
                  G#7
That placing his hand on the gun would empty the funds
                             C#m
He plans to run to Timbuktu tonight

Chorus:

      A7 G#7 C#m
'Coz I've killed Kennedys, Kings and Tsars
            A7 G#7 C#m
I did for Lennon, did for Hitler, did for Lee Oswald
    F#m G#7 C#m
And if your number's up I don't care who you are
       B A G#m
If my bang bang bang's coming
 B A G#m
Ahh Ahh Ahh you get running

    F#m C#m
The Sun that sets, may also scorch
           F#m C#m
Like that weapon of choice for vengeful thoughts
           F#m C#m
When the Sundance Kid met his end of course
       A7
It was me, who else could it be
Who blasted him and Cassidy

Outro:

C#m Bm Am G#m C#m x3
A7 G#7 C#m
