Anywhere But Here - Rise Against
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: SunburstRVG
Email: sunburstrvg@web.de

Tuning: Standard

Intro:
  E A (x3)
  B B

      C#m A
We've been alright up until now
        E B
But the air that we breathe is about to run out
       C#m A
We've rehearsed our lines clear and loud
        E B
But the cue never came and the lights, They never went
C#m A
down, So we're passing the time
                  E B
While time passes us, The fast lane's a term never applied to
C#m A
us Not a dime to my name
                      E B
Or a prayer in the world I walk out the door

    C#m B A B
    Destination: anywhere but here
    Pause
    Away from you!
    E A
Now I'm on my way to the other side
    E A
I'll forget everything I left behind
    E A
    These empty rooms
    B B/A B
    Are still filled with you

C#m A
And so I dropped out of my own race
      E B
To a race with no finish line, No first or last place
C#m A
These faces all rush right past me
  E B
I turn and walk away
    C#m A
'Cause we finally know now what our time here's about,
       E B
We were not meant to be, Another face in the crowd
  C#m A
We're a forest of lives, And we grow tall and wide
          E B
And we'll never be cut down

    C#m B A B
    Destination: anywhere but here
    Pause
    Away from you!
    E A
Now I'm on my way to the other side
    E A
I'll forget everything I left behind
    E A
    These empty rooms
    B B/A B
    Are still filled with you

[Bridge, pick the chords]
  C#m A E B
I'm so tired and turned around and scared
   C#m A E B
And I'm lying in empty beds again
             C#m A E B
I'll wait for you to come, To your senses, barbed wire fences
     C#m A E B
Won't keep me from breaking through, I swear I will to you

    E A
Now I'm on my way to the other side
    E A
I'll forget everything I left behind
    E A
    These empty rooms
    B B/A B
    Are still filled with you
    A A
    Are still filled with you

[Coda, picked again]
  C#m A E B
I'm so tired and turned around and scared
   C#m A E B
And I'm lying in empty beds again
           E
Away from you

The C#m is played open (called Bsus4)
The A should rather be Asus4
and the B is also played open (called E6)

these are just the same chords, as they are in "everything changes" by staind

Incredible song. I wish my friends appreciated when I play Rise Against songs on acoustic. Too bad no one is ever interested.
