with an acousitc than its good.

Intro: C G Am F X2

C G
  I can still remember
                        Am
The words and what they meant
                             F
As we etched them with our fingers

In years of wet cement
C G
  Days blurred into each other
                         Am
Though everything seemed clear
                       F
We cruised along at half speed

But then we shifted gears

Am F C D
We ran like vampires from a thousand burning suns
Am F G
But even then we should have stayed

              Am F
But we ran away
    C G
Now all my friends gone
   Am F C G
Maybe we’ve outgrown all the things that we once loved
      Am F
Runaway
C G
what are we running from ?
  Am F C G
A show of hands from those in this audience of one
      Am G F
Where have they gone ?

C G
  Identities assume us
                     Am
As nine and five add up
              F
Synchronizing watches

To the seconds that we lost
C G
I looked up and saw you
                    Am
I know that you saw me
                   F
We froze but for a moment

In empathy

Am F C D
I brought down the sky for you but all you did was shrug
Am F G
 You gave my emptiness away

             Am F
And you ran away
    C G
Now all my friends gone
   Am F C G
Maybe we’ve outgrown all the things that we once loved
      Am F
Runaway
C G
what are we running from ?
  Am F C G
A show of hands from those in this audience of one
      Am G F
Where have they gone ?

Am F C Am F G
We’re all ok, until the day we’re not
Am F C Am F G
The surface shines, while the inside rots
Am F C Am F G
We raced the sunset and we almost won
Am F C Am F G
We slammed the brakes, but the wheels went on

            Am F
And we ran away
    C G
Now all my friends gone
   Am F C G
Maybe we’ve outgrown all the things that we once loved
      Am F
Runaway
C G
what are we running from ?
  Am F C G
A show of hands from those in this audience of one
      Am G F
Where have they gone ?

This is a pretty good tab. It makes it so this song can be played acoustically. Nice job!

the "D" chord doesn't sound quite right...
I think it's just supposed to be another G

on the part that goes "I brought down the sky from you but all you did was shrug"

otherwise, terrific tab.
