Band: Rise Against
Song: Roadside
Tuning: Standard (EADGBe)

Ok, here’s the deal, I’m a drummer that self taught myself how to play the guitar, I’ve
been playing for a little over a year and a half, and this is my first tab, so if you
be a fag, and post comment that don’t help and just say this sucks or is all wrong, I
want them, but if your gunna help me make this tab better, because I know its not
right, and it’s a sick song that I think everyone should learn, then post away. Thanks…

 (guitar1)
e|----------------------------|
B|---4-2----4-2----2-0--------|

A|--0--0-0-0-2--2-2-2-4--4-4-4-4--4-4-4--| x24422 or x24444, w/e sounds
E|--0--0-0-0-----------------------------| best to you. also strum out the
last note more on the 4th time)

B|---------5--------------------------5----------5-5-5-5--|
G|----------6-6------------------------6-6-------6-6-6-6--|
D|-----------6--------------------------6--------6-6-6-6--| x4 (I’m pretty sure the rhythm
A|--4-4-4-4----4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4----4-4-4-4---------| might change after the 2nd
E|--------------------------------------------------------| time but I don’t know)

[Chorus]

 (guitar2)
e|-------|
B|-------|
G|--6-6--|
D|--6-6--| play that palm muted a whole bunch of times
A|--4-4--|

[Post-Chorus]

Same thing as pre-chorus

[Bridge]

(guitar)

Just simply play the intro twice

[Bridge]

(guitar2)

G|--6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4--|
D|--6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4--| x2

E|-------------------------------------------------------------------|
pm . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Then guitar2 plays a four bar break of simply

good tab in the fact that you did it in standard...you might have found it easier if you tuned a half-step down though as Rise Against does (Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, eb) but good work!!!

I've only been playing guitar for two years and I am also self taught. I have no prior musical experience, so my opinion doesn't carry much weight, but i think you did a good job and it sounds good. I'm impressed.

might have made some parts easier if you used bar chords instead of this type of thing:

VERSE (guitar1, and guitar2 if you feel like it)
|--4---4---0---4----4--4----------7---------0----------4-----|
|--5---4---2---4-----5--5/7----4----------2---------4---4----|
|--6---4---2---4----------------4--4p2---2-2-2-------4---4---|
|--6---4---2---4------------------------------2-------4---4--| x2
|--4---2---0---2---4?4-------2----------0------0h2-----------|
|----------0-------------------------------------------------|

but at least they are the right notes, i commend you for this tab.
