VERSE:
 Dm F Am
Billy left his home with a dollar in his pocket and a head full of dreams.
         Dm F Am
He said somehow, some way, it's gotta get better than this.
 Dm F Am
Patti packed her bags, left a note for her momma, she was just seventeen,
             Dm F G
There were tears in her eyes when she kissed her little sister goodbye.

      Dm F
They held each other tight as they drove on through the night
          Am
They were so exited.
            Dm F
We got but just one shot of life, let's take it while we're still not
   Am
Afraid.
         Dm F Am
Because life is so brief and time is a thief when you're undecided.
            Dm F G
And like a fistful of sand, it can slip right through your hands.

CHORUS:
       C Am Em G
Young hearts be free tonight.
 C Am Em

VERSE:
 Dm F Am
Paradise was closed so they headed for the coast in a blissful manner.
            Dm F Am
They took a two room apartment that was jumping ev'ry night of the week.
 Dm F Am
Happiness was found in each other's arms as expected, yeah
 Dm F G
Billy pierced his ears, drove a pickup like a lunatic, ooh ooh ooh

NOTE: This i basically a chord tab...however, i put in notes that can be played if you wish. but, you must realize that in the original there is more then one guitar.... and also synthesizers, etc... The notes are a combination of those guitars and synth, etc... that I thought sounded best... please remember that and play accordingly....to me the chords are 100% and if you wish to play only those then they are in my opinion correct...the rest is just something you can play if you wish along with the CD in case you want to mix it up a bit....

I like what you did with this tab. As you stated, the chords seem to be spot on. I understand now what you mean with the note part you tabbed out and it sounds really good how you have it arranged. I know it is difficult to try and arrange that for multiple instruments so that one guitar can play something that sounds good especially when sysnthesisers and other guitars are involved but you managed to do that. Great tab. Thanks. Definitely worth a 5 star rating.
