Intro: C   F   Fm   C   G   Am   Dm7   G   C

C             F   Fm               C     G Am
Once in every life someone comes along,
                Dm7        G7sus4  G7    C
And you came to me. It was almost like a song.
C              F   Fm                 C      G Am
You were in my arms   right where you belong;
                  Dm7          G7sus4  G7    C
And we were so in love. It was almost like a song.

Fmaj7           Em        Dm7           G7      C     G Am
January through December, we had such a perfect year;
Fmaj7                   Em
Then the flame became a dying ember;
Dm7          Bb          G7sus4  G7
All at once, you weren't here.

C             F    Fm                    C     G Am
Now my broken heart cries for you each night.
                       Dm7   G7sus4   G7              C
And it's almost like a song, but it's much too sad to write.

Repeat Intro
C  Dm7  Fm  C  G  Am  Dm7  G  C       F Em C

C             F    Fm                    C     G Am
Now my broken heart cries for you each night.
                       Dm7  G7sus4 G7
And it's almost like a song,
         Ab7             Am    C+ Am7 D7 Dm7
But it's much too sad to write.
         G7sus4 C F C F C
It's too sad to write.

Outro:
C  Dm7  Fm  C      Csus

Play your Ab like this, use one finger and bar across strings 2,3,4 on
the 1st fret. The 1st string doesn't play, but mostly when you bar across the fret it dubs out anyway or you use your right finger on that string.

It can also be played on the 4th fret like you play a F chord too
