In the youtube video i was looking at (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSX-8zQ2xOQ) he
it in a different tuning (G-A-D-G-B-D, i believe) and slightly out-of-key. So this is a
trimmed-down version transposed to EADGBE.

LYRICS:

      C C
Well night time let her through, Yeah I'm talking to you,
         G (C) G
I wanna see her,
 C
Precious little thing
      C G (C) G
With eyes that dance around without their clothes

    Am Bm
So buy a pretty dress, Wear it out tonight,
     C D7 D7
For anyone you think could out do me...
    C Bm C Bm Am G (C) G
Or better still, be my winding wheel

         C
Cause I feel just like a map,
    C G (C) G
Without a single place to go of interest,
          C
And I'm further North than South,
   C G (C) G
If I could shut my mouth she'd probably like this

   Am Bm
So buy a pretty dress, Wear it out tonight,
    C D7 D7
For all the boys you think could out do me...
   C Bm C Bm Am G
Or better still, be my winding wheel,
 C Bm Am G (C) G
Be my winding wheel

         C
Well the children laugh and sing,
   C G (C) G
A song that ushers in her driving rain
       C
And I'm standing in the station
      C G (C) G
like some old record waiting on a train

   Am Bm
So buy a pretty dress, Wear it out tonight,
    C D7 D7
For all the boys you think could out do me...
   C Bm C Bm Am G
Or better still, be my winding wheel,
 C Bm Am G (C) G
Be my winding wheel
C C G (C) G C G
Be my.... winding wheel

Thanks

This is pretty legit. I think he has a slighty different arrangement these days for the chorus baseline when he's walking the "be my winding wheel" chords.

Really appreciate this tab btw.

I think the run down is like this and he seems to play it with a capo on the first fret which gives that better intonation

C Bm C BmAm Bm G
or better still be my winding wheel

Great song thanks for the heads up on the chords
