                             BOOKSMART DEVIL – Silversun Pickups
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright, so I checked on some of the other tabs on this, and they were really close. I
did a bit of playing around with this and figured that this was as close as it could be played.

Tuning: Standard

Bassline:

e|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|----4-4-2-----------------------------------------------------------------|
E|-----------0-0------5-5-4-0-0---------------------------------------------|

This plays through the first verse, then this plays:

Main Riff:

e|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|--6-6---9b------2-2---9b----6-6----9b-9/14-14-14-13--9-9------------------|
D|--6-6---9b------2-2---9b----6-6----9b-9/14-14-14-13--9-9------------------|
A|--4-4---7b------0-0---7b----4-4----7b-7/12-12-12-11--7-7------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|

I am not 100% sure about the 13/13/11 chord, but I could not find anything else that
really fit, so that is what I usually play. For the bending part, you can either just bend
the strings, or use a whammy bar. Either way works, but I suggest string-bending. You’ll
get closer to the sound on the album.

Next, it goes back to the bassline, but a guitar can be heard doing this:

e|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|----4-4-2-----------------------------------------------------------------|
E|-----------0-0------5-5-4b-0-0--------------------------------------------|

Light Solo:

e|------4-----4-----4-----4---5------0-----0-----0-----0--------------|
B|--------5-----5-----5---------5------0-----0-----0-----0------------|
G|----6-----6-----6-----6---6-----6------1-----1-----1-----1----------|
D|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------|

Then the bass does this:

e|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0----------------------------------------------------------|

Solo:

e|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|----------4h6-6-6-6b-6-------------------------------------------------------|
A|-4-4--7b-7--------------4-4-7b-7------7b 7-----------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------5-5-----------------------------------------|

This is repeated twice, with slight variation in timing. Mess around with these notes a
bit, and you should be fine. The ending of the second part of the solo goes out with
some crazy synthesized distortion. Cannot help you there, sorry.

Last Verse Riff:

e|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-6-6--4-------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-6-6--4----2-2--7-7--6b--2-2----------------------------------------------|
D|-4-4--2----2-2--7-7--6b--2-2----------------------------------------------|
A|-----------0-0--5-5--4b--0-0----------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|

The Light Solo repeats, but is louder with distortion, and then you just end with a
repeat of the main riff.

End with this:

e|-------|
B|-------|
G|---6---|
D|---6---|
A|---4---|
E|-------|

Anything else is either done on keyboards/synthesizers (played by the talented Joe
Lester) or crazy guitar effects I cannot figure out with what I have. Either way, I think
this is a pretty good outline. Please comment or correct in ways you see fit and keep in
mind this is my very first tab. Thank you, and enjoy!
