About this tab version
With other versions, the featured chords sounded too simplistic. I've added notes and hammer ons which, I personally feels, make it sound like there's more to the song. Was this info helpful? Yes No
There is no strumming pattern for this song yet. and get +5 IQ
This is Sleeping At Last's (Ryan O'Neal) song "Saturn", from his "Atlas:Space II" Extended Play.
It's a relatively easy song to play, which covers multiple styles of playing.
(I prefer to play this on electric guitar with a big echo effect, as I think it does it the most credit)

Chords used: Eadd9, E, F#m, D, Asus4 and A .
NOTE: When the A chord is played, during different times throughout the song, alternative versions of the A
chord are played, with additional notes being finger-picked.
The versions of A are as follows

A: A(V2) A(V3)
------------------- -------------------- --------------------
--2---------------- ---3---------------- ---5/3/2------------
--2---------------- ---2---------------- ---2----------------
--2---------------- ---2---------------- ---2----------------
------------------- -------------------- --------------------
------------------- -------------------- --------------------

For strumming, I prefer slow downstrokes for the first introduction piece, palm muted downstrokes for the
quieter middle part of the introduction, and palm muted slap percussion strumming for the latter quieter part
and then strumming for the louder part bordering the vocalist's lyrical part.

E F#m D Asus4 A

      F#m D Asus4 A E
You taught me the courage of stars before you left.
     F#m D Asus4 A E
How light carries on endlessly, even after death.
     F#m D Asus4 A E Eadd9
With shortness of breath, you explained the infinite.
     F#m D Asus4 A E
How rare and beautiful it is to even exist.

Eadd9 E F#m
I couldn’t help but ask
For you to say it all again.
Asus4 A
I tried to write it down
But I could never find a pen.
Eadd9 E F#m
I’d give anything to hear
You say it one more time,
Asus4 A
That the universe was made
Just to be seen by my eyes. (X2)

OUTRO (Slow, single strokes)
      F#m D A E
With shortness of breath, I’ll explain the infinite
    F#m D A E
How rare and beautiful it truly is that we exist.
